Artist Statement
I use the camera as a tool for self-expression to record personal phases of my life. This transparent work reflects my introspective responses as I process these periods. It’s an outward, metaphorical expression of my inward world.
Being quite inquisitive, I’m drawn to unearth back stories of my environmental concerns, and draw attention to these causes with my photographs. I use natural materials making compositions or transforming them into new configurations to photograph.
The natural world provides inspiration for my work and is a respite from life’s strains. I’m filled by the “well of nature’s abundant offerings” and by making photographs.
